Details
We have a custom Straight Razor collaboration between makers John W. Smith and Aaron Frederick. John ground and finished the blade while Aaron made the handle.
The Blade: John ground this in traditional straight razor fashion from premium Sandvik steel and gave it a classic hand rubbed finish. It opens via its integral lever the extends out the back of the handle. Both maker's logos appear on the front of the blade. It must be closed carefully as with traditional straight razor's, the blade rests on the handle's backspacer.
The Handle: Aaron chose titanium construction for the handle, bead-blasted it then anodized it a dark blue. He kept some very nice handle ergonomics of bends and contours found on many traditional straight razors. Torx hardware with a copper backspacer round out construction on this classic revival.
This one is new direct from maker Aaron Frederick.
