The new Mike Alsdorf custom dagger design is modeled after the very well-known Case V42 dagger of the 1940's First Special Service Force (also known as the Devil's Brigade) military issue. The Alsdorf Custom Double Grind Take-Down Dagger is a truly stunning piece of work that starts with a 1/4" thick 440C blade that has been precision double ground and then received a horizontally hand-rubbed finish. The blade meets with an intricately machined and heat-treated 416 stainless steel guard and butt cap handle fitting. The precisely shaped Bloody Basin Jasper handle features a polished finish and is quite comfortable in hand. For convenient cleaning or storage, the handle can be removed from the blade and then the guard from the handle. Shouldered construction fits snugly into the guard when pieced together preventing the blade from rocking. Mike has included a handmade, tooled and sewn black leather sheath with snap closure and tooled border embellishment for belt carry. A padded zipper pouch is also included. Brand new directly from custom knifemaker, Mike Alsdorf.
