The North Star was Bark River's first entry into the Bushcraft Task Arena. The North Star is a great general purpose knife but excels at woodcraft tasks. The spear point blade is the most popular shape for this kind of field work. These North Stars have gone through a few changes. The blades are now made from CPM-3V powdered steel for improved toughness and carving ability over their A-2 Tool Steel predecessor. New notching and bolts are also added to improve the overall quality and performance of this series.
