Details

The 319 Proper model by Benchmade Knives is a throwback to traditional pocket knives with, of course, their modern touch. This slip joint design is an excellent every day carry size, perfect for sliding in your pocket or pack. Built with handsome green canvas Micarta handle scales and premium S30V blade steel.

Brand new, direct from Benchmade Knives.

Blade: A very useful Sheepsfoot style on the 319 crafted from edge retaining CPM S30V stainless steel and given a classic satin finish. The length comes in just under three inches, featuring a plain cutting-edge and simple nail nick opener towards the end of the front flat. The modern touches include an upper swedge grind and a jimped thumb ramp for a bit more control. This is a non-locking blade that's held open and closed with a strong back spring.

Handle: A useful, comfortable contoured construction with this piece built from stainless liners and attractive green canvas Micarta scales which are durable, comfortable and provide traction even when wet. All is secured using Torx screws with a nice lanyard hole at the end allowing the user to apply his or her own personal touch to the knife.

No pocket clip.

CPM-S30V: A PM stainless steel developed specifically for use in knife blades, S30V has good wear resistance (edge retention) and corrosion resistance, better than 440C or 420HC. The powdered process refines the grain, improving performance for a balanced blade steel. Toughness is comparable to other PM stainless steels.
