The Kwaiken Folder designed by maker Lucas Burnley has taken many forms over the past few years with each having it's own unique characteristics. This latest version direct from Boker Plus features smooth, contoured citrusy Orange G10 handle scales.
The Blade: Just about 3.5 inches of razor sharp upswept pointy goodness on this piece. It has a dark tumbled gray finish and rides on the IKBS ball bearing pivot system for some of the quickest opening possible. An oversized thumb disk provides the opening action and a nice spot to place your thumb when cutting. The IKBS and BURNLEY logos appear on the back.
The Handle: Thick, tumbled stainless liners provide the base and balance on this folder. The cutout that allows access to the disk when closed is a great resting place for the index finger of your grip when open. The Orange G10 handle scales have a smooth, light texture and are cut just a bit smaller than the liners for a cool two-tone appearance to the handle. Torx screw construction along with a short stainless backspacer bring the Kwaiken together.
The Kwaiken from Burnley and Boker has given a new definition to a smooth operating, slim every day carry folder. This one includes a single-position, removable tip up carry pocket clip and lanyard hole.
