Another solid design from maker Boris Manasherov and Boker Knives comes the Caracal Flipper! This is fine execution all-around with tough D2 blade steel, ergonomic G10 handle scales and a ball bearings pivot system
The Blade: A usable drop point styled slicing blade on this one with an upper harpoon-ish swedge grind adding the benefits of a spear point piercer. A very clean, sharp 3.5 inches of cutting edge to work with and two opening options. The thumb hole window cutout is on the small side, but can be utilized or opt for the integral flipper tab. Either way, you're flying on smooth as silk bearings. Finished with a user stonewash and jimped a bit over half an inch for a comfy thumb ramp.
The Handle: 3D machined black G10 handle scales have been contoured to have three different levels for ultimate comfort. It fills any medium to large palm with the levels cradling in each finger of your grip. Full skeletonized stainless steel liners provide the base and solid lock up. A notched backspacer extends out the bottom to a breaking point with integral lanyard hole.
The Caracal Folder from Boker Plus offers desirable materials, great flipping action and very nice overall fit 'n finish. It includes a deep carry, reversible tip up pocket clip for right or left hand use.
