The Boker SD 2 is a high quality production version of John W Smith's custom design SD model. This is a modern folding knife with classic elements like dovetailed bolsters, a well fitted back spacer and utilitarian drop point blade. Modern touches include a ball bearing pivot, orange peel textured titanium liners and bolsters and black canvas Micarta scales and back spacer. If you've ever wanted a John W Smith design there has never been a better time than now with the Boker SD 2.

Brand new product from Boker Knives.

The Blade: A very subtle drop point blade is handsomely satin finished and sports a mid-length swedge, convex saber grind and thumb disk for fast opening via the bearing pivot. The front of the 2.9" blade displays the Boker logo, "Manufaktur Solingen", and blade steel marking. On the opposite you will find the JWS logo and serial number. This is a great looking blade that is highly functional, excellent for both the user and collector alike.

The Handle: The SD 2 has an understated beauty with lots of attention to detail especially in the handles. First they start with thick titanium liners that are chamfered and "orange peel" textured. One of the liners forms the liner lock mechanism that is outfitted with five deep, yet surprisingly comfortable scallops allowing for very easy disengagement of the lock while still being secure in use. Secured to the liners with titanium Torx hardware are contoured and orange peel finished bolsters and black canvas Micarta handle scales. The scales and bolsters are fitted together with a neat dove tail joint and are flush with the liners all around for buttery in-hand feel. A black Micarta blackspacer protects the blade while in the closed position.
