Alton D'Holder

Alton D’Holder was born on March 23, 1940 in Heald Texas. D’Holder made his first knife in 1966 in Denver, Colorado which sold for only eight dollars. By July of 1973, Alton D’Holder had joined the Knifemakers Guild. In the years to come, D’Holder won several awards for his brilliant custom pieces, including the Red Watson Memorial Friendship Award, the American Firearms Industries Award of Excellence, the Beretta Award and Blade Magazine’s Publisher’s Award. In 2003, he was inducted into the Knifemakers Hall of Fame.
