The all-new Tighe Fighter custom model direct from maker Brian Tighe means business. This is a slimmed down EDC version and trends more toward the tactical end of the spectrum for Brian's designs. The handle is a bit skinnier and the blade stock is trimmed down to 0.15 inches thick. This featherweight Tighe Fighter Flipper comes in right around 3.50 ounces.
The Blade: A compound ground tanto point-styled blade means aggressive, powerful cutting with tough endurance. The grinds feature a cracked ice finish while the flats remain satin. Brian's signature appears on the front and it's outfitted with dual thumb stud or integral flipper deployment. Silky smooth operation thanks to Brian's ceramic ball bearings STBS (Sealed Thrust Bearings) system. Very good blade seating on this piece.
The Handle: 3D machined shred carbon fiber slabs have bits of copper strung throughout for a unique look. No liners needed thus reducing the weight considerably. It's well-balanced with finger grooves that just lock into your hand. Stepped texturing all around for a solid grip. A ridged carbon fiber backspacer has a large lanyard window cut out exposed at the bottom taking it up a notch. Near the top a large button lock controls the secured cutting.
This new Tighe Fighter from maker Brian Tighe is another home run. It's modern, dramatic and sophisticated looks will have you coming back for more. Included is a bronze titanium Tighe signature pocket clip with ceramic ball retention for tip up carry and a signature zipper pouch.
