The tried and true Case Sod Buster is a classic slip joint pattern built robust for functional utility. This Junior version is the smaller of the two Sod Buster models and comes with rugged Chestnut Bone Jigged covers and a Chrome Vanadium carbon steel blade.

Blade: The single skinner blade has a subtle clip and shallow hollow grind and is made from Chrome Vanadium Carbon steel with machine satin finish. The hollow grind delivers optimal cutting performance while retaining good durability. This model has a strong back spring with smooth slip joint operation.

Handle: The bolsterless construction of the Sod Buster illustrates the utilitarian and hard-use nature of this knife. The handles are equipped with rustic, Jigged Chestnut Bone covers and a classic Case Oval Script Shield. The covers are fitted with brass pins to brass liners. A sturdy back spring offer simple, smooth slip joint operation for use.

Case Chrome Vanadium: CV or Chrome Vanadium is Case Knives carbon steel offering. Based in simple carbon steel (1086 or 1095) with small amounts of Chrome and Vanadium added for grain refinement and better hardening response. CV steel has low abrasive wear due to low carbide content but is very tough and easy to sharpen. Not corrosion resistant and will rust without proper care.
