The Chris Reeve Neil Roberts Warrior Knife was designed in memory of Petty Officer First Class Neil Roberts who was killed in action in Afganistan in 2002, and also the first SEAL to lose his life in action since 1989. The knife was conceptualized by Navy Chief Steven C. Bronson and then later designed by well-known knifemaker Bill Harsey, with input from Chris Reeve as well. This knife is in brand new condition with all original packaging, paperwork and sheath. Includes certificate of authenticity dated February 22, 2011.
The Blade: Constructed from a thick stock of CPM-S30V stainless steel, the blade has been hollow ground and received a KG Gun-Kote Gray finish. The slight recurve lends itself to field work nicely and is also aggressive enough to tackle combat situations.
The Handle: Contoured black canvas micarta handles scales have been attached to the full tang via oversized allen screws. The micarta fills the palm to offer a comfortable in-hand feel for long-term use. Impervious to hot/cold and wet, micarta is an excellent choice for field work in a variety of environments. Lanyard hole cutout at end of tang with attached tan paracord wrist lanyard.
The Sheath: Includes a coyote brown Spec-Ops brand nylon sheath with kydex insert. MOLLE compatible with snap closure for carry in a variety of positions.
