You can see the compact, self-defense knife origins of the CRKT Desta 2784 but innovative knife designer Pat Crawford has refined this knife into a fantastically minimalist, every day carry, utility folder. The knife is essentially three pieces: The blade, the scale, and the back spring. The knife has a forward-lockback mechanism that is disengaged by direct pressure to the back spring near the pivot. The access is possible thanks to the lack of a front scale, also reducing the overall weight of the knife. The clip point blade is all utility and deploys via an oval blade hole. The full package is black stonewashed finished for a very discrete package. The Desta is a functional and innovative knife design that has been stripped of anything extraneous and left with cutting tool that is near perfection.

The Blade:The blade of the Desta features the same Black Stonewashed finish as the rest of the knife for a low profile look. The hollow ground, clip point blade is optimized for every day cutting tasks but can be pressed into defensive use as a last-ditch option.

The Handle:The Desta's handle is made from two pieces of Black Stonewashed finished stainless steel. One piece is the single steel liner with drilled holes for added traction. The second piece is the innovative forward-lock back back spring which doubles as the back spacer to protect the blade when in the closed position. The lock is disengaged by simply pressing up on the exposed back spring with the thumb.

Carries via a right hand, tip-up, stainless steel deep-carry clip.
