Description
CRKT Shakaulu is a big game hunting tool designed by Ken Onion. This tool is a combination of an ulu, a palm knife used by Alaskan and Canadian tribes, and a meat cleaver crafted from 65MN Carbon Steel for maximum toughness. The Onion Shakaulu can be used for a multitude of tasks as it has a gut hook and fully curved razor sharp skinning edge. The Twin-Fused handle, injection molded hard black polypropylene and dark green TPE plastic inserts, allow the hunter to be used as a cleaver. There is also a thumb hole in the handle that allows for a traditional ulu grip, which assists in control for fine tasks such as skinning. To complete this heavy duty hunting tool, Onion designed a sheath that incorporates a locking pin and flexible retaining strap for secure inverted carry. The sheath can be carried on the right or left side and has a removable belt clip. Made in China.
