The Daniel Koster custom Bushcraft fixed blade makes a great companion for surviving the outdoors. Premium materials fit and finished by hand to extremely high tolerances. This brand new version has a full flat grind and Black Canvas Micarta handle scales. Super tough and ready to work.
The Blade: Full tang construction of hardcore CPM-3V tool steel is proven to be one of the highest performing carbon steels on the market today. It's tougher than O1 and 5160 plus easier to sharpen than D2 and S30V. 0.170 inches thick and satin finished for a clean look. Drop point styled blade shape with a full flat grind for no-nonsense cutting. The squared-off spine is perfect for striking with a firesteel and features thumb grooves for grip. Batoning, scoring and carving is a breeze with the Bushcraft.
The Handle: Very ergonomical with thick slabs of canvas micarta forming a palm swell in the middle filling the hand. Micarta handle scales have been contoured and sand-blasted for a nice texture, even when wet. They are secured to the tang with two corby pins and a lanyard tube. There is a slight guard protecting you finger that allows the cutting edge to come right up to the handle.
The Bushcraft from maker Dan Koster is a very nice, sleek design. It's tough, straightforward and sharp. It will be able to tackle the majority of bushcrafting and camp chores you'll come across...and then some.
