Coming soon, this knife is expected in fall 2016.
The HEFT 12 Chop from DPx Gear is a fresh take on a knife genre that doesn't often see a lot of attention. It has a competition style handle with a large sheepsfoot style blade and comes ready to take on just about anything you can throw at it. Made by LionSteel in Italy you can rest assured that the quality on this knife is first rate.
The Blade: When we say it can handle pretty much anything we mean it. The HEFT 12 Chop comes with a Sleipner tool steel blade which is almost a quarter inch thick and has a reinforced tip for added strength. It comes with several lanyard attachment points both at the top handle and rear of the knife, one of which acts as a bit driver in a pinch.
The Handle: The handle has a great round ergonomic feel and is very reminiscent of many competition style choppers used by the pros. It is made from micarta, which has pretty much become the de facto standard in outdoors knives today.
The Sheath: A heavy duty kydex sheath is included with the DPx HEFT 12 Chop.
