The Emerson RangeMaster Sheepdog Flipper is breaking the mold at Emerson Knives in more ways than one. Designed in collaboration with former Airborne Ranger and West Point Instructor Lt. Colonel David Grossman, the Rangemaster is THE first flipper in Emerson's lineup and the first to use a bearing pivot system rather than washers. The RangeMaster Flipper is sure to be a hit with Emergency Responders, Military and the everyday user alike.
The Blade: This version features a 3.5 inch Black coated plain edge Bowie blade riding on bearings for silky smooth action. With wave opener integral to the blade, the new Rangemaster Sheepdog may be the most deployable knife ever which will come in handy in high-stress situations. Open the knife straight out of the pocket via the legendary Wave Pocket Opener, give it a flick of the thumb disc or press the integral flipper tab for instant action!
The Handle:High traction G10 scales are screwed onto the titanium liners and provide a non-slip low wear surface. A deep finger groove forms a guard and the rear of the handle drops down to keep the knife in the correct position in the hand. The top of the handle is mostly flat but the towards the blade is a raised thumb ramp that has jimping as it transitions into the wave opener. This give a surface to push down while cutting for more leverage, Includes a lanyard hole and a reversible stainless steel tip up carry pocket clip.
