The Tertiary is a small backup blade meant to be used as a third line of defense, right behind a primary and backup firearm. It is easily tucked away thanks to its small profile and still has the classic Izula shape should you need it for everyday cutting. Developed by SWAT officer Lee Smith, we highly recommend this knife for those in the law enforcement line of work.
The Blade: Those familiar with the Izula can testify to its practical blade shape. The Tertiary mixes things up a bit by taking this shape and adapting it into a push dagger style knife. The blade is a full flat grind and has been modified to include a sharpened top edge for extra piercing power.
The Handle: The Tertiary comes with a skeletonized handle which allows for two included G10 scales. These can be removed if desired for your own custom paracord wrap. The handle has a very secure grip in hand and the entire knife has been powder coated to protect against corrosion as well as reduce glare in tactical situations.
The Sheath: The sheath of the Tertiary is made of tough molded plastic and comes with a moveable clip plate. This plate can be clipped inside the waistband or to a belt and allows plenty of tension for an easy draw. Alternatively paracord can be used for attachment to MOLLE webbing or other applications. ESEE recommends carry in the 10 to 2 o'clock positions for easy indexing.
