The Grindhouse Knives Mini FOK Flipper is a more pocket friendly version of their popular full sized model but is built just as tough. An attractive (1x1 twill) carbon fiber handle scale sits on top of a solid titanium frame. Sam's signature "UNOBtanium" milled pocket clip adds uniqueness to the design. While the FOK style tanto shows it's aggressive side, it's smaller size and high end materials make this model right at home out on the town or at the office.
The Blade: .215 inch thick Carbon Steel San Mai Sam made at Rob Thomas Damascus on this model. The FOK style Tanto blade shape has a mean look while the Damascus pattern is just stunning. Deep index finger choil helps to form the integral flipper on the blade and a secure position for the hand. Large area of deep jimping along the spine is perfectly placed for the thumb for added control. The solidness of the blade is easily attributed to the ball bearing pivot system which is also responsible for an effortless deployment.
The Handle: The pistol grip style handle rises from the thumb rest to fit the palm swell for amazing comfort in the hand. Additional jimping along the butt end of the frame creates a place for the thumb to rest when in a reverse grip. Stout handle is composed of a .190" thick blackened titanium lower with integral frame lock mechanism and a .063 inch thinner top liner for the carbon fiber to attach to. It all combines to achieve an incredible strength relative to it's size.
This Mini FOK includes a copper backbar that extends out from the frame, SPECs card and drawstring pouch.
