The Grindhouse Knives FOK Flipper is a beast of a titanium framelock folder created by Sam Jones. The ergonomically friendly handle is composed of two 0.190" thick orange peel finished titanium slabs with an integral frame lock mechanism on the lower half. A deep finger choil helps to form the integral flipper on the blade and also providing an alternate grip option. Aggressive notching along the butt end of the handle and near the choil offer a superior grip when in use. The spear point blade has been hollow ground and is made of CTS-XHP with a dark stonewashed finish. Easy deploy blade rides on ball bearings for smooth and quick opening with a push on the flipper. Sam's ultra cool anodized titanium pocket clip has a sort of three dimensional texture and has been setup for tip-up right handed carry. Includes fleece draw string pouch. Brand new direct from Sam at Grindhouse Knives.
About CTS-XHP: An alloy steel made by Carpenter, CTS-XHP was developed as a corrosion resistant D2 alternative. Our research shows users estimating edge retention slightly ahead of S30V, and toughness comparable to D2. This makes CTS-XHP a premium steel, which should hold a great edge and be reasonably corrosion resistant.
