The Kershaw Camp 12 can tame the jungle in your neck of the woods. Built around a full tang of carbon steel with a slight forward blade balance, each stroke does considerable damage to brush and foliage. The Parang style machete originates from Southeast Asia and were designed for cutting through the heavy vegetation and growth of that part of the world. The blade thickness, and relatively short length, makes it ideal for portability without compromising chopping power.
The Blade: The full tang is built from tough carbon steel designed for hard-use applications. Black-oxide finish protects the blade from rust and lowers maintenance. The blade is designed to be balanced forward of the handle to enable efficient cutting strokes and resist getting lodged in green wood.
The Handle: Glass-filled nylon handle is contoured and textured to provide a safe and secure grip. Deep hand guard both on the rear and forward keep the hand away from the blade. Front and rear lanyard holes gives the user a choice on where to place a lanyard.
The Sheath: To protect the edge, a lightweight blade guide is included that wont weigh yourself or your gear down.
