The Kershaw FATBACK is actually a rather slim Speedsafe assisted opening flipper. Another word for Bacon, it looks like Kershaw had a bit of fun naming this one. It does have a heck of a lot of notches that run along the bottom of the frame that help to provide for a ton of grip. Add that to the fine textured handle and you get one sweet knife with multiple carry positions. Brand new direct from Kershaw Knives.
The Blade: Spear point style with a hollow grind that exhibits an extremely sharp edge. All black oxide coating sets the tone for the stealth look of this knife. Super clean design with only the flipper needed to deploy the blade. Add on the SpeedSafe® assist, and boy does it come out in a hurry.
The Handle: Full length liners have notching that runs almost the entire length. The one used for the liner lock extends down from the handle slightly for easy access. Dual standoffs are in service here to keep the frame open for ease of maintenance. Black oxide coated reversible carry pocket clip can be setup in all four directions for the ultimate in carry options.
