The Scallion from Kershaw Knives is a USA Made SpeedSafe Assisted folder whose design has stood the test of time. The Scallion family was designed by custom maker Ken Onion to meet the daily carry needs of new generations of knife enthusiasts. Its ergonomic, lightweight design and compact blade shape are perfect for the everyday user. This version comes with a matte gray 420HC blade, stainless liners and Stalkland camo pattern scales.

Blade: The 2.5 inch 420HC blade has a razor sharp hollow grind and sweeping recurve profile. The drop point profile tapers to a fine point for piercing and detail work with a subtle spine swedge. It has a matte gray finish and deploys fast and smooth via dual thumb studs or the integral flipper tab. Some light jimping on the spine adds traction for the thumb.

Handle: Stalkland camo anodized aluminum scales are attached over solid stainless steel liners for a durable platform. The Stalkland camo pattern was designed by two former military snipers, based on the principles of concealment learned during their service in the military. This makes for a very discreet knife in both use and carry. A clean, contoured design and contoured lines offer comfort for everyday use and carry. Stainless steel liners support the scales and house the SpeedSafe assisted mechanism while one liner forms the locking mechanism for smooth reliable operation.

420HC Stainless Steel: 420HC is a stainless steel that provides excellent rust resistance, ease of re-sharpening and moderate edge retention while being exceptionally tough for a stainless steel. With proper heat treat it is said to preform similarly to VG-10 in wear resistance.
