Robert David LaGuiole knives have been in production since 1919. The LaGuiole knives, pronounced la-yoll, are manufactured in Theirs, France. The Robert David LaGuiole knives have pins shaped in a cross formation as it is said traveling shepherds would stick their knife in the ground so they had a cross to pray to. The slip joint knives feature a bee depiction on the catch, the story of which dates in time back to Napoleon. The beautiful and timeless folders have 12C26 Sandvik stainless steel blades and many unique handle materials, such as genuine stag, juniper wood and ram’s horn.
