The all-new Hellcat Flipper from LionWerks Custom Knives has wicked potential. Direct from maker Fernando Medina, this particular version is referred to as a "Fatty" as the titanium stock on the handle has been bumped up to .186 inches thick. Super smooth operation on this piece.
The Blade: Crazy sharp premium CTS-XHP stainless steel used for the Hellcat with nearly 3.5 inches of cutting power. Very aggressive blade shape trending towards a modified wharncliffe, super-tanto pointy slicer ready for work. The blade stock is just a thick as the titanium and has a sick upper swedge grind addition. It rides on a ball bearings pivot and rockets out of the handle thanks to its integral flipper.
The Handle: Two aggressively blasted .186 inch thick titanium slabs with frame lock mechanism has an outstanding feel. The blasting adds a supremely comfortable texturing for added grip. The lockbar is buttery smooth to disengage while maintaining solid lock up. Green micarta backspacer and pivot collars are a rockin' touch.
The Hellcat from LionWerks Customs is a solid tank built for medium-large sized paws and would make a stellar EDC. The blade sits well-centered in the handle when closed, comes in a zipper pouch and has a tip-up carry titanium pocket clip.
