The Mick Strider Custom Stubby XL Nightmare Grind Tanto is a transformation of the monstrous XL into a more compact creature. Measuring in at just under 8" overall the Stubby did not sacrifice it's stout handle width or strong blade characteristics, but was only shortened in lenght. This Stubby XL offers true custom appeal with Mick's wicked Nightmare ground tanto blade and orange peel anodized handle. Brand new directly from Mick Strider.
The Blade: Made of premium CTS-204P stainless steel and precision ground to an aggressive tanto styling. Hand ground by Mick, the tanto shows off sleek satin grind lines and near perfect symmetry from side to side. Oval hole opener, dual blade stops and oversized notched jimping are just a few added features. Upper swedge and dragon spine offer Mick's signature looks while the choil has been signed M. Strider.
The Handle: Thick dual titanium handle slabs have been orange peel anodized and have a deep purple/bronze coloring. Machined accents on front side of handle with deeply chamfered edges and notching along the thumb rest/butt end offer a comfortable grip. The handle is completed with titanium hardware and barrel spacers as well as a slotted lanyard hole.
Matching anodized pocket clip with laser engraved MSC logo is affixed for right-handed tip-up carry.
The Pouch: Includes a black nylon CSM Gear zipper pouch with internal padded pocket. Mick Strider Custom logo velcro patch on front side of pouch.
