The Custom XL from Mick Strider Knives is a standout piece featuring Mick's own hand-made Damascus formed into a mean tanto point. The XL is big, bad and absolutely stunning.
The Blade: Hand-forged by the man himself with dark maroon's and blues jumping out as it's held at different angles in the light. The recurve tanto's cutting edge is just over three inches, but the blade itself is well over four. So, you get plenty of the gorgeous material to gaze upon. Nightmare ground with a notched thumb ramp leading into dragon scale scalloping down the spine. Ambidextrous thumb hole cutout for opening this piece with smooth operation and strong, early lockup. Mick has engraved the large finger choil M. Strider.
The Handle: Two thick slabs of titanium create the over 5.5 inch handle for XL paws to hold on to with traditional Strider notching for grip throughout. Mick has orange-peel textured the outer surface before adding his magical anodizing work that really goes with the coloring of the Damascus. Blues, purples and bronze colors jump out depending on the lighting and seems to react to heat/touch. All screws and hardware are titanium including the pivot and spacers.
This Custom XL includes a tip-up carry MSC Ti pocket clip and black zipper pouch with winged skull and green/black MSC-XL patches. Brand new direct from Strider Knives.
