The Mike Irie UC-1 (Urban Carry Model 1) has an overall length less than nine inches making it an ideal size for every day carry. Versatile blade shape can be used tactically or even as a hunting knife. Satin blade does not give off an overt tactical appearance which helps when carried in town. Includes a Kydex sheath with a carbon fiber textured front with a formed loop for belt carry. Brand new direct from maker.
The Blade: Hand rubbed satin finished recurved blade has a harpoon shape and features a thumb ramp with jimping. For additional versatility, the combined flat spine of the blade and choil allow the user to choke up and do fine detailed cutting. Stainless steel construction keeps the knife virtually maintenance free yet still keeps a good edge.
The handle: Black G10 scales have been polished and beveled for a great feel. They are secured to the full tang via three hollow pins which also allow for attaching a lanyard. The ergonomically friendly handle curves down slightly and falls right into the palm swell. To keep the knife secure, pronounced finger grooves have been cut into the tang to create a guard and keep the hand from slipping forward or off of the handle.
The Sheath: Riveted form fitted Kydex sheath can be attached to a Tek-Lok or MOLLE lock attachments and comes with an integral belt loop for carry. For an even more unique look, the front of the sheath has a carbon fiber texture.
