The Rainmaker from Olamic Cutlery has a lot of the same great features of the Wayfarer with it's flipper, caged bearing system, and solid construction. The false edged drop point blade is made from Z-Finit (Nitrogen Stainless) blade which has corrosion resistance similar to ETK Cronidur-30. Both the blade and the titanium frame have been given a uniform satin finish with nicely smoothed edges. A caged bearing pivot system provides an extremely smooth satisfying blade deployment. This one off design from the first run of 40 units has two red carbon fiber windows exposed through two portholes in the dimpled CF frame inlay. Jeweled titanium liners provide the backbone and lockup for this stout tactical knife. The extensive use of titanium for the bolster, pocket clip and hardware help with weight reduction without any loss in strength. Uniquely serialized with R017 printed on the inside of the solid titanium backspacer. Includes a zipper pouch and certificate of authenticity. Brand new directly from Olamic Cutlery.
Z-Finit (Zapp Fine grain Nitrogen steel) is a high performance high corrosion resistant stainless steel that has been cryogenic treated in liquid nitrogen after quenching to achieve maximum wear resistance. With a HRc of 59, this gives performance that is comparable to 52100. Because it is a nitrogen stainless steel, the corrosion resistance is excellent, far surpassing 440C.
