Quartermaster went back to the drawing board to improve the QTR-3F "Templeton Peck". It went on a diet and lost 40% of it's weight and slimmed down it's profile by nearly 30%. Thumb studs were removed and replaced with a flipper. To improve lock-up, a replaceable steel lock bar insert has been added that also serves as an over travel stop. Still an overbuilt knife with thick fine texture G10 top frame with matching thickness as the titanium frame lock separated by a G10 spacer. The American tanto blade has deep jimping that runs across the spine of the blade and lines up with the top of the frame when fully open. An integral part of the design is the ORB® Pivot System and Tri-Spoke® Pivot Assembly, which distributes the load of the caged bearings across a greater surface area for smoother operation. Includes a reversible tip-up carry clip with cover plate for unused side and Certificate of Authenticity card. Limited Production Run #/300 marked on the back of the blade.
