The Blade: The hand-ground, Tanto blade is compound ground for optimal performance: a saber grind at the tip for strength and a shallow hollow grind on the primary edge for enhanced slicing performance. The spine of the blade sports dual jimping, forward and rear, with a "bone breaker" swedge between for aesthetics, balance, and function. Finished with a classic, bi-directional satin the Shogun's blade looks as sharp as its razor-like edge. CPM 10V is a tool steel with some of the highest wear resistance around while retaining toughness comparable to that of D2. This is a non-stainless steel so light oil is required to prevent corrosion. Paired with the rear jimping, a large index finger guard helps to add more security when utilizing the knife for hard use cutting tasks.

The Handle: Ergonomic and contoured the handle scales of this knife are made from half carbon fiber and half red C-Tek secured to the blade with custom Torx hardware. The scales are polished for a refined look while reducing friction points. The ergonomic design lock the knife in the hand despite the smooth scales for a very secure feel. Attached via a paracord lanyard is a custom, hand made, Gosolov Bead depicting the Grip Reaper in two-tone nickel silver. The amazing detail of the Reaper's rictus grin, hooded cowl, and trusty scythe is something to behold.

The Sheath: The knife is securely sheathed in a custom molded, red Holstex sheath that retains the knife well while allow for fast deployment. Mounted to the sheath is a large Tek Lok mounting system that is one of the most robust and secure carry options currently available and attaches to a variety of platforms.
