Reate Knives K-3 Carbon Fiber Inlay Compound Ground CTS-204P Flipper

The K-3 Flipper from Reate Knives pushes the boundaries of traditional knife form without sacrificing any function or performance. The clean, geometric lines of the handle are inlaid with beautiful Carbon Fiber and are subtly milled and contoured for excellent ergonomic comfort. A radical, compound ground Tanto blade is made from high performance CTS-204P blade steel. The standard for Reate fit and finish is exceptional.

The Blade: CTS-204P is a high wear-resistance stainless steel, that delivers some of the best edge retention and corrosion resistance on the market. The compound ground blade, with a saber ground forward edge and mid-height hollow ground rearward edge, provide the blade with a great combination of strength and slicing performance. A swedge enhances piercing performance and the milled pocket with holes adds a nice visual element. A ceramic ball bearing pivot gives the K-3 silky smooth deployment via the index flipper. 

The Handle: The K-3 is very comfortable in the hand with an ergonomic design, milled details and Carbon Fiber inlays. This knife looks fantastic while retaining an excellent functional design. A milled titanium backspacer with heavy jimping gives some traction in the hand while a 3D titanium pocket clip with ceramic tension ball allows for secure carry with fast deployment. The clip is tip-up right hand only. Polished titanium hardware complete the K-3 and the titanium frame lock delivers smooth, solid operation thanks to the steel insert which doubles as over travel protection.

About CTS-204P - Made with Carpenter's 2nd generation PM process 204P features very high wear and corrosion resistance with a fine grain structure and high working hardness, up to 62HRC. 204P delivers excellent performance with both coarse and high polished edges. The fine grain structure also makes 204P relatively easy to sharpen and along with the high level of corrosion resistance make this a very low maintenance steel. 204P is an analog to M390.
