The Rike Knife 1507s Kwaiken Flipper is a high quality build from top to bottom. For being a long knife, around 8.5 inches overall, the Kwaiken only weighs a hair over 4 ounces. Thin, lightweight and just smooth as glass operation in this package. The medium-tuned detent is dead-on accurate for perfect flipping action and keeping closed when not in use.
This model is fitted with a stonewashed premium CPM-S35VN blade. Razor sharp. About 3.75 inches in length, the blade is quite thick which helps balance out the handle. The drop-style has a flat grind with slight swedges near the spine. Raw blade stoppers set off this blade.
The flipper doesn't stick too far out of the handle to get hung up in your pocket. It features a small amount of non-aggressive jimping. Just enough to grab your finger and fire out the blade. Silky smooth action is all thanks to caged bearings at the pivot.
A full titanium frame lock handle has a raw, tumble finish with convenient light texturing all around. Contoured with smooth edges provide a comfortable feel in-hand. Four machined circles on the blade make for a nice thumb ramp and mimic the holes in the Ti backstrap.
Finishing touches include a hardened steel lockbar insert with over travel protection, sandwich/integral deep carry tip up Ti pocket clip and lanyard hole. Killer lines, outstanding action and top notch fit 'n finish push the 1507s Kwaiken from Rike right to the top of the kwaiken category.
The 1507s is brand new direct from Rike Knife.
