The Spyderco Jumpmaster 2 continues on the tradition of the original Jumpmaster which was designed by military jumpmaster personal as an emergency cutting tool. It's 100% rust proof blade not only cut free "Hung" paratroopers", but also offered the greatest edge retention in the Spyderco line. This new model continues that tradition with a do it all leaf shape blade.

The blade: Hollow ground and fully serrated to handle a wide variety of cutting duties. The blade rises from the handle and has the familiar Spyderco Trademark hole at the thumb ramp.

The Handle: Full tang design has skeletonized tang to reduce weight with pinned on textured fiberglass reinforced Nylon handle scales. Double guard design, keeps the hand from sliding in a forward or reverse grip.

The Sheath: Snap fit custom molded Boltaron Sheath and versatile G-Clip mount for a multitude of carry options.

H1 is precipitation-hardened steel, utilizing .1% nitrogen instead of carbon. Carbon is the component in steel that makes the blade hard and allows it to hold an edge. Carbon also reacts to chloride, making rust. With nitrogen replacing the carbon; hardness and edge retention are realized but nitrogen doesn't react to chloride so it physically cannot rust.
