New from the Stedemon Knife Company comes the SHY IV kwaiken-style folder featuring a Japanese Drop S35VN blade and Water Flow textured Carbon Fiber. This slim, daily carry folder has plenty to offer at a sweet price point.
The Blade: The sweeping Japanese-styled drop blade is a beauty. Satin finished premium S35VN has a kwaikenish straight edge that comes to a tanto-y upswept point. Very cool shape that will come in handy with daily cutting and piercing tasks. It deploys using an ambidextrous thumb disk and cruises out of its handle on a buttery smooth KVT ceramic bearings pivot system. Any way you slice it, the SHY IV's blade cuts as well as it looks.
The Handle: Carbon Fiber handle scales are textured in a Water Flow pattern not just for aesthetics but outstanding grip in-hand. Orange G10 accents this variation including pivot rings, tip up carry pocket clip and backspacer. An inset liner lock mechanism keeps the blade in check during use.
