Details
Handsome new Synergy Flipper by maker Steven Kelly of S.K. Knives dressed to impress with Koa, Carbon Fiber and Chad Nichols Damascus. The blade seating, fit 'n finish and flipping action is spot on with this piece.
The Blade: Mr. Kelly chose Chad Nichols Stainless Damascus and ground it into a clip point blade with upper harpoon-styled swedge. The blade rides on a silky smooth ball bearings pivot system with no-wrist action necessary. Simply pull down of the integral flipper tab brings the blade to locked and ready in a flash. The tab then creates a guard to protect your fingers. S.K. Knives, MT is engraved on the spine near the tang.
The Handle: Bronze anodized titanium frame with gold leaf texturing on the lock release and cutout. The presentation side is half stabilized Koa wood, half carbon fiber bolster. These materials are secured to the frame using Steve's TiConnector Titanium hardware. Ti barrel spacers and Hinderer Lock Bar Stabilizer round out the Synergy. Lockup is early and solid.
The Synergy Flipper is an excellent every day carry medium sized folder. It's design is ergonomic and practical. Steve outfitted this custom with a carbon fiber tip up pocket clip. It ships in a SK Knives zipper pouch.
