The TOPS Hawke's Hellion is a collaboration design between TOPS Knives and Mykel Hawke. Mykel is a U.S. Army Special Forces Green Beret Veteran with over 20 years experience in the field and likely most well-known as his roll hosting two Discovery Channel shows. The host of Man, Woman, Wild and One Man Army was committed to making the ultimate survival blade that gives the survivor a 20/20 vision for any sized task. The Hawke's Hellion Survivor 2020 is just that, made of 3/16" thick tough 5160 tool steel that has been black traction epoxy coated. The handle is made of black micarta, a material which is resistant to most elements and often becomes more grippy when wet. It has two lanyard holes as well as a socket for the fire bow drill method. The handle also has an extremely ergonomic design which allows for the most comfortable grip while chopping or performing more fine tasks. Each line of the blade plays an important role as well with a full slightly curved straight edge for chopping, tip for incising or troughing, back edge for a back-up and deep saw blade for any necessary sawing. A flat area can also be at the butt-end of the handle for hammering and a point for poking holes. There's very little this knife cannot do! Also includes a MOLLE compatible ballistic nylon sheath with kydex insert for carry. Made in USA.
