The ZT 0456 is another striking design from Belarusian custom knife maker Dmitry Sinkevich based on his widely popular custom knife, The Pole. The ZT 0456 flawlessly combines Sinkevich style with Zero Tolerance's build quality and premium material selections. Brand new directly from Zero Tolerance Knives.
The Blade: Made from the exceptionally high-wear resistant and corrosion resistant CTS-204P, the custom blade shape of the 0456 is a defining element in the style of this knife. The modified-Wharncliffe is highly utilitarian and the two-tone finish, with satin grinds and stonewashed flats, is easy on the eyes. The Proprietary KVT Bearing Pivot System is in effect here and provides smooth, easy flipping deployment.
The Handle: The titanium handles are contoured with 3D "Rayed" milling for a comfortable and secure grip that looks great with the blue accents of the pivot hardware, anodized custom aluminum backspacer, and reversible (tip-up) pocket clip. Not sacrificing aesthetics for function, the titanium frame lock is smooth and solid thanks to the hardened steel lock face insert.
About CTS-204P: This alloy is a highly wear and corrosion resistant, stainless steel produced using Carpenter's Micro-Melt powder metallurgy process. Wear resistance is provided by a significant amount of hard, vanadium-rich carbides, while the corrosion resistance is obtained as a result of the chromium-rich matrix. Carpenter's Micro-Melt processing creates a uniform micro-structure, fine carbide distribution and grain size distribution, and when coupled with the use of molten metal filtration, results in improved cleanliness and toughness compared to conventionally cast and wrought processed material. CTS 204P has an excellent combination of wear resistance, toughness, polishability and corrosion resistance making it a perfect choice for premium fixed and folding knives..
