Protege of custom maker John W. Smith, Aaron Frederick has been making custom knives for more than twenty years and is an artist in his own right. The 3PS series from Frederick are dressed up versions of his designs, think three piece suit, that follow a functional design with materials and finishes that offer a classier aesthetic. This Scimitar blade comes in hand rubbed satin finished CPM-154 with Nichols Stainless Damascus bolsters and luxurious carbon fiber handle scales. This 3PS will dress up your carry or collection.

Blade: The Scimitar profile blade has a striking, upswept point with a dramatic top swedge and a handsome, hand rubbed satin finish that elevates the look of this custom piece. The thick stock is offset with a high height hollow grind delivering strength and cutting performance in equal measure. The 3PS is functional art executed with precision.

Handle: The full tang blade supports dark, stainless Damascus bolsters from Chad Nichols that are dovetailed to gorgeous carbon fiber scales. Both are attached with small Allen bolts that deliver a very clean look. A generous hole in the pommel is provided for lanyard attachment.

Carries via a custom made brown leather sheath.

About CPM-154: CPM-154 is a particle metallurgy version of 154CM that benefits from the refinement in the PM process providing it with an increase in toughness and easy of finishing. CPM-154 takes a very fine edge and is highly corrosion resistant. Edge retention is going to be on-par with CPM S30V while being easier to resharpen. A great all-around blade steel.
