Splitting the difference between a hatchet and full sized felling axe, the Canoe Axe from Adler is a highly functional and versatile chopping tool ideal for backcountry adventure. Whether you are clearing the trail or making fire the Canoe Axe handles the task with ease. High traction, non-slip paint keeps the American Hickory handle securely in the hand during strenuous use and allows for one or two hand swings depending on the job while maintaining a compact length of just over 20". The 1.35 pound head (same as the hatchet) of durable C45 carbon steel is held securely in place via a circular wedge for even pressure distribution. Each axe comes with a double snap leather edge cover for safe transport.
