Alan Folts Custom designed the S.P.E.W. or Small Pocket Everyday Wharncliffe to provide the reliability of a fixed blade with the convenience of pocket carry. The utilitarian Wharncliffe profile handles cutting tasks large and small, while the ergonomically designed handle is comfortable and secure for any type of work. This prototype comes with a satin finished CPM-M4 blade, black and blue liners and carbon fiber scales. 2 of 2.

Blade: The straight edge Wharncliffe blade is delivered with a satin finished high hollow grind for excellent slicing power heel to tip that tapers to a fine point for piercing and detail work. Index guard and jimped thumb ramp pair up to offer security and control in use, while the CPM-M4 blade steel makes for a high performance edge with exceptional retention.

Handle: A robust full tang construction makes this compact blade durable for heavy use and supports contoured carbon fiber scales for comfort and style, highlighted by blue and black fiber liners. Spine jimping, a deep index choil and pinky ledge deliver a compact yet secure grip enhanced by the attached paracord lanyard. Coming in at under 3 ounces with the sheath, the S.P.E.W. is likely to find a permanent spot in your daily carry.

Sheath: Includes custom molded Kydex sheath with paracord neck lanyard, cord lock and bolt-on belt hook.

CPM-M4: A high speed tool with an excellent combination of impact toughness, strength and wear resistance. Ideal for cutting tools, CPM-M4 is relatively easy to sharpen despite the high wear resistance. Powder metallurgy offers finer grain and clean composition for strength and toughness.
