The Benchmade 365BK Outlast is the ultimate tactical rescue knife thanks to the Option Lock equipped dual blades, robust construction, textured black G10 scales and integrated rescue tools. One blade is a stainless CPM S30V drop point for utility and the other is a tough, fully serrated CPM 3V Opposing bevel rescue blade with integral oxygen wrench. Blade: The Outlast offer the best of both worlds thanks to the dual Option Lock equipped blades. The utilitarian drop point blade is made from CPM S30V stainless steel for good edge retention and corrosion resistance for general cutting tasks. This blade opens via generous thumb stud and is thin for slicing with a long top swedge for enhanced piercing performance. The robust, Opposing bevel rescue blade is made from ultra-tough CPM 3V with a blunt tip and full serrated edge that rips through rope, webbing, cloth and other fibrous materials. This blade opens via the integral oxygen wrench/oval blade hole cutout. Both blades are coated with poly-ceramic Cerakote in black for a tough, corrosion resistant and discreet finish.

Handle: Full, black oxide coated stainless steel liners form the foundation for the rock solid, ambidextrous, Option lock mechanism, a variation of the AXIS lock that allows for dual blade operation. The ergonomic textured black handles are comfortable and secure in the hand. A semi-open construction allows for easy cleaning and maintenance with a partial backspacer that protects the blades and houses the carbide tipped glass breaker. A large, integrated rescue hook opens from the spine of the handle via a generous thumb stud with smooth, ball detent slip joint operation.

CPM-S30V: A martensitic, powdered stainless steel with high levels of wear and corrosion resistance. Its chemistry promotes the formation and even distribution of vanadium carbides, which are harder and more effective at cutting than chromium carbides. This gives it a very refined grain, further improving the sharpness and toughness. S30V is a great, all around steel with high levels of performance.

CPM-3V: is a high carbon alloy steel that extremely tough and has enough chromium to have some corrosion resistance. However, care is required to prevent corrosion. The edge can be ground thin as it is tough enough to support a fine edge. 3V delivers the highest level of toughness while maintaining good edge retention.
