Blade: A classic, utilitarian drop point blade with a nearly full flat grind delivers solid overall utility with a rugged stonewashed finish that hides wear while looking great. American S30V stainless steel delivers balanced performance with ease of maintenance. Dual blue anodized thumb studs and a phosphor bronze washer pivot deliver smooth, ambidextrous operation and added style.

Handle: Grivory was chosen for its lightweight durability and tough, weather resistant properties. Light diamond texturing enhances traction without being aggressive on your hands or pockets. Blue anodized barrel spacers form an easy to clean open back construction. Benchmade opted for a high durability DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coated titanium AXIS lock bar, raising the literal bar on toughness while maintaining a featherweight 1.85 ounces for the Bugout. Black hardware and a generous lanyard hole round out the construction.

CPM-S30V: A powdered stainless steel with high levels of edge retention and corrosion resistance S30V was developed specifically for use in knife blades. The powdered process gives it a very refined grain, improving the sharpness and toughness. S30V is a great, all around steel with balanced performance.
