The Benchmade Boost 591BK builds on the framework of the previous Boost but offers a hard use, utility folder with new blade modifications. The 591 delivers exceptional ergonomics just like the original with dual texture Grivory and Versaflex handles, switching up the aesthetics with the black and red color combination. The Black Cerakote coated CPM-3V blade is built for optimal durability with an Opposing saber grind that ends and a robust pry tip and uniform chisel ground cutting edge. This Boost was built for people in hardworking trades to be used long and hard every day.

Blade: The 591BK has Axis assisted opening for fast deployment of the chisel ground CPM-3V blade. The blade is deployed via dual thumb studs making the knife fully ambidextrous when paired with the AXIS lock mechanism. The flat tip enhances safety during use and offers a light pry tool for added utility while the Black, poly-ceramic Cerakote coating offers a durable and corrosion resistant finish.

Handle: Dual texture durometer scales are made from tough and lightweight Grivory with over molded Versaflex for exceptional comfort and traction. The robust stainless steel liners house the rock-solid, reliable, ambidextrous AXIS lock mechanism making this knife a perfect choice for left and right handed users. A slide safety on the spine prevents unintentional deployment of the blade but also provides added security when the knife is in use. A generous hole is provided for lanyard attachment.

Carries via a reversible, tip-up, black-coated stainless steel deep carry clip.

CPM-3V: is a high carbon alloy steel that extremely tough and has enough chromium to have some corrosion resistance. However, care is required to prevent corrosion. The edge can be ground thin as it is tough enough to support a fine edge. 3V delivers the highest level of toughness while maintaining good edge retention.
