The Bailout is the tactical evolution of the popular EDC Bugout folder from Benchmade Knives. The Bailout is part of the Black Class line and was built to be exceptionally tough while retaining a slim, ultralight design that is ready to go anywhere you do. This version comes with the standard, Tactical Gray Cerakote coated CPM-3V, plain edge, Tanto blade and upgraded Putman Green Canvas Micarta handle scales.

Putman Scales: The knife comes with custom Grooved Green Canvas Micarta Putman Scales installed.

Blade: The tactical Tanto point blade provides overall utility as well as enhanced piercing performance. The tactical gray Cerakote finish is durable, discreet and corrosion resistant helping balance the ultra tough CPM-3V blade steel. A standard plain edge offers excellent cutting performance for general tasks. Dual, black coated thumb studs provide smooth, ambidextrous opening with a hydraulic operation thanks to the smooth tension from the AXIS Lock mechanism.

Handle: Replacing the standard factory scales we've installed* Anso-style Grooved Green Canvas Micarta Putman Blade Scales for an upgraded look and feel. Black coated aluminum barrel spacers create an easy to maintain, open back construction. An extended aluminum pommel has a large milled slot for multiple lanyard attachment options. A DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coated titanium AXIS lock bar enhances durability and corrosion resistance. Even with the custom scales this cutting powerhouse still tips the scales at just over 2 oz.

Factory deep carry clip is installed for right hand, tip-up only carry.

CPM-3V: is a high carbon alloy steel that extremely tough and has enough chromium to have some corrosion resistance. However, care is required to prevent corrosion. The edge can be ground thin as it is tough enough to support a fine edge. 3V delivers the highest level of toughness while maintaining good edge retention, just under CPM S30V/S35VN.
