Benchmade G10 Mini Griptilian 556SBK-1 Serrated BK1 Coated CPM-20CV

Benchmade 556SBK-1 Mini Griptilian with G10 handle and black coated partially serrated CPM20CV blade. The Blade: Composed of CPM20CV, the blade has been ground to a modified drop point with partial serrations and black BK1 coating. The non-reflective coating compliments the gray G10 handle and protects the raw blade steel from undesirable elements while the serrations offer more aggressive cutting power.  Excellent edge retention, toughness and corrosion resistance are the stand-outs of this steel.  Dual thumb studs allow for deployment of the blade in quick fashion and the Axis lock holds it firmly in place when opened.  

The Handle: While the upgraded blade will surely enthuse both collectors and users, the handle is the first of it's kind as well featuring the well-known diamond texturing for grip and comfort.  The simple ergonomics are the same as the original Mini Grip with less than half an ounce of added weight from the G10 upgrade.  Gray G10 forms the outer with blue G10 accents and partial stainless liners to house the lock mechanism.  The patented Axis Lock mechanism allows for easy disengagement with either hand without placing fingers in the blade path.  Open barrel spacer construction will provide for easy cleaning and good looks as well. 

Attached black coated deep carry stainless steel clip can be reversed for right or left handed tip up carry making this knife truly ambidextrous.  

About CPM-20CV: A highly wear resistant, powder metallurgy stainless tool steel, the steel contains a large volume of extremely hard vanadium carbides which provide excellent wear resistance. CPM-20CV contains the highest amount of chromium of any high-vanadium stainless steel currently available. The chromium-rich matrix provides outstanding corrosion resistance.
