The Benchmade 551H2O Griptilian offers the value of the classic GTX handled Griptilian optimized for use in highly corrosive environments with the substitution of a Bohler N680 blade. This version comes with a plain edge, satin finished Drop Point blade with thumb stud opening and Orange handles.

Blade: The blades of the Griptilian series were designed to excel at everyday cutting tasks while keeping enough in the tank to handle the worst scenarios. The 551H2O comes with a satin finished, N680 Drop Point blade and dual thumb stud opener with a mid-height saber grind offering a great combination of toughness, edge retention and exceptional corrosion resistance. A top swedge tapers the point to enhance piercing performance without sacrificing durability.

Handle: Orange Noryl GTX handles house the robust and ambidextrous AXIS lock mechanism with partial steel liners for durability. The handles are diamond textured and contoured for a secure and comfortable grip in any position. Noryl GTX is a polymer resin that is tough, lightweight and resistant to heat, cold, water and chemicals for a truly hard use cutting tool.

Carries via a reversible, tip-up, stainless steel pocket clip.

Bohler N680: N680 specializes in resisting corrosion caused by chlorides (i.e., salt, sweat, etc.). Corrosion resistance is better than 420 while offering better edge holding (Between 420 and 154CM).
