The Benchmade Hunt Series 15017-1 Hidden Canyon Hunter is a small-framed fixed blade built for precision cutting tasks with an ample handle and cutting edge length to be effective on big game and small. The full tang CPM-S90V stainless steel blade retains the wear hiding stonewashed finish and saber ground, drop point profile that excels at processing game as well as being a useful utility knife for basic field and campsite tasks. A combination Richlite composite and orange G10 handle offers modern performance with visually appealing look. Improvements included adjusted jimping location, enhanced ergonomics and blade profile and an updated sheath design for enhanced retention.

Blade: Stonewashed CPM-S90V is delivered in a utilitarian drop point profile with a durable high saber grind and sweeping belly that is excellent for skinning and game processing with a compact design well suited for fine work and precision cutting tasks. Equipped with a 14 degree SelectEdge from the factory, the highly wear resistant S90V steel blade will deliver exceptional and long-lasting slicing performance. The high saber grind offers well-balanced cutting performance and durability while a small choil makes for easy sharpening of the full plain edge. Two sections of jimping on the spine provide added traction: the rear section for the thumb in a saber grip and the forward for the index finger in a pinch grip.

Handle: Warm and stylish with a wood-like appearance, the Richlite composite handles are also durable and weather resistant. Attached to the full tang blade with black hardware over a high contrast orange G10 base, the scales are contoured for comfort and ergonomic use with ramps down to the blade for added comfort in a forward pinch grip. With a compact footprint and light weight, the Hidden Canyon Hunter is well suited to backcountry use where every ounce counts. Wide jimping on the spine provides added traction in adverse conditions and a hole at the pommel provides a lanyard attachment point for added security.

Sheath: Carries via a custom molded, orange and black Boltaron polymer sheath.

CPM-S90V: A unique tool steel made using the Crucible Particle Metallurgy process, CPM S90V offers substantial improvements in edge retention over 440C and D2, and other high chromium steels, with corrosion resistance equal to or better than 440C. S90V is an excellent choice where wear and corrosion resistance are key.
