The Benchmade Meatcrafter is part of their Field To Table series and is a purpose driven slicing knife that is at home in the kitchen and the field. Skinning, boning, slicing and even filleting fish, if slicing is the task then the tip-to-heel belly of the Meatcrafter will get the job done. An ergonomic Santoprene rubberized polymer handle is comfortable and secure even when wet. This version comes with hi-viz orange handles and a satin finished CPM-154 SelectEdge blade.

Blade: A long trailing point blade is executed in a full flat grind with nearly full length swedge making the Meatcrafter an exceptional slicer as well as having a refined tip for piercing and controlled work. Designed for use in the kitchen and the field, this knife makes a solid slicer or boning knife for food prep after pulling duty skinning and field dressing. Satin finished CPM-154 offers well-balanced performance and is easy to maintain in the field. Benchmade's 14-degree SelectEdge provides a fine, smooth edge to trim, debone, and slice while being easier to hone back after use. A degree of engineered blade flex makes this a great choice for fillet use as well.

Handle: The full tang construction is fitted with a high traction Santoprene handle that is fully contoured with a hand filling palm swell and pronounced guard and bird's beak pommel for added safety. Tapering toward the blade, the handles allow for multiple grip positions to handle all your cutting tasks. Santoprene is comfortable and secure in the grip and offers ease of cleaning and resistance to the elements. A generous hollow tube is provided at the pommel for lanyard attachment for added security in use.

Sheath: Carries via a custom molded, orange and black Boltaron polymer sheath.

CPM154: is a particle metallurgy version of 154CM that benefits from the refinement in the PM process providing it with an increase in toughness and easy of finishing. CPM-154 takes a very fine edge and is highly corrosion resistant. Edge retention is going to be on-par with CPM S30V while being easier to resharpen. A great all-around blade steel.
