Benchmade Mini Bugout Black Cerakote Grooved Natural Micarta Putman Custom Scales Folder

The 533BK-1 Mini Bugout folder from Benchmade Knives expands on the popular Bugout, delivering another “go anywhere” ultralight folder, this time in a sub-3” blade platform. As with the original, the 533 is extremely slim, ergonomic and comes in high quality materials at an outstanding price point. This version comes with a black DLC coated CPM-S30V blade and upgraded, grooved natural canvas Micarta Putman Custom scales.

Blade: The classic drop point blade provides utility at work or in the field. Made from American CPM-S30V stainless steel, the blade offers balanced performance while a durable, black poly-ceramic Cerakote coating delivers a tough, corrosion resistant and non-reflective finish for discreet use. Dual, black coated aluminum thumb studs deliver smooth ambidextrous operation on the rugged phosphor bronze washer pivot.

Handle: We have upgraded* the factory scales to Putman Custom scales in grooved canvas Micarta for enhanced visual and tactile appeal. Micarta will darken and develop a natural patina over time with use and handling. Black coated aluminum barrel spacers complete the open back construction with an oversized pommel hole for lanyard attachment. A coated titanium lock bar gives the ambidextrous AXIS lock smooth, solid and reliable performance. Original scales included.

Carries via a tip-up, right hand only, mini deep carry clip.

CPM-S30V: A PM stainless steel developed specifically for use in knife blades, S30V has a high level of wear resistance (edge retention) with good corrosion resistance, better than 440C or 420HC. The powdered process refines the grain, improving performance for a balanced blade steel. Toughness is comparable to other PM stainless steels.
