Designed by Greg Thomson, creator of the Special Operations Combative Program (SOCP), the Benchmade SOCP is a specialized defensive tool that allows the user to maintain retain the knife in hand while manipulating other objects. This powerful tool has a minimal footprint for lightweight and discreet carry, with an optimized sheath for secure carry and fast deployment. This training knife is a coated red trainer (unsharpened) with Sand tan sheath.

Blade: Full tang 440C stainless-steel construction makes the SOCP rugged and low maintenance. Scallops near the ricasso offer traction for added security in use. The trainer is identical to the live blade excepting the blunt, unsharpened “blade” and red coating.
Handle: Designed to be very comfortable in hand while also offering superior control, the handle features finger grooves and an end ring. The entire tool has a red coating for enhanced corrosion resistance, traction, and a high visibility finish.
Sheath: Carries via a molded sheath with MOLLE compatible stainless-steel J-Hook clip.
440C Stainless Steel: The basis for many modern steels, AISI 440C offers a good balance of corrosion resistance and edge retention with relative ease of sharpening. Good all around budget stainless steel.
